About
At the "Unexpected Hero" themed Game&AppJam event organized by the Game and Application Academy, we created our game, Guiding Paws, with our randomly formed team in a 48-hour period. Our game was selected as the first among 40 teams.

Story
As the city streets have changed and obstacles have increased in the hustle and bustle, our guide dog Corki sets out to ensure his visually impaired friend safely reaches home. In this adventure, Corki overcomes obstacles and protects his friend from aggressive birds, guiding him with speed and intelligence towards home, where they experience the story of friendship and hope together. Here is the tale of friendship in the chaos of the city, through the eyes of a guide dog.
Controls & Gameplay Mechanics
Move: A,D
Jump: Spacebar
Attack: X
In our game, we control the dog's movements. Our visually impaired friend follows the dog; when the dog stops, so does our friend, and when the dog runs, our friend continues walking. We must overcome obstacles before our friend arrives. The attack mechanism works by pressing the X button when we stop. Unfortunately, it doesn't work if our friend is far away, and attacks cannot be performed consecutively. If you want to press it again, you should step forward and stop in front of our friend before pressing it again. When birds fly towards our friend, we should warn him and drive the birds away to let him continue his journey.
